November Goals: Make some patterns!

Last month had me going to the farmer's market more, and practicing my drawing skills. It was a great goal to start with, and I'll definitely be keeping up with both practices! This month's goal is a little more ambitious from a creative standpoint. (I was actually a little afraid to put it up here, because it's going to make me accountable. Which, of course, is the point.)

I'm trying to develop a robust library of surface pattern designs, and came up with a pretty lofty number of designs to get to by the end of the year. Problem is, I get busy with other projects and clients and creating patterns gets put on the back burner every day. One day is fine, but then that leads to another, and another, get the point.

So November's goal is to create one pattern every day for one month. No matter how busy I get with other projects. Wish me luck!

On a side note, today is my Mom's birthday! I was raised Catholic, so Nov 1st was always a holy day of obligation for us (meaning we had to go to church) because it's All Saint's Day. Something my mother never failed to remind us of (meaning she must be a saint.) I don't go to church any more, but turns out she is a saint having raised 3 rather rambunctious boys and one very contrary girl. Happy birthday Mom- love ya!
