making wishes

So this is something that's been on my mind a lot lately. I've made a lot of spontaneous decisions in my life- including moving to Minneapolis and California. The decision to move to MN literally happened in about 15 seconds. I was young, and didn't have a lot to lose and it ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. CA wasn't AS spontaneous, but it was for love, so I just dove right in head first. You only live once, right?

That's pretty much the way my life has gone- professionally and personally. It's been a fairly organic process. Yes, especially when it comes to my career I've worked my ass off at times, but I've never been a "set goals" type of person. Until recently. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, who knows. But I've come to realize that I've had a lot of "wishes" for what I want without taking action. It's lulled me into thinking that I did have goals, and then left me confounded when my goals aren't reached. So I've started taking action. This is the point I begin to turn my wishes into realities. I'll let you know how it goes.
