I love pinterest as much as the next gal for creating moodboards for every project I work on. (The amount of secret boards I have is out of control.) But there is something about stepping away from the computer and creating boards old school style.
A different part of your brain takes over as your fingers dance over scraps of fabric and ephemera you feel your scissors slice through images from old magazines. I had forgotten how much fun this was until I stepped into Amy Butler's color workshop last year.
Amy made a comment that really resonated with me: "These palettes are classic because they came from you." Yes. I find myself going back to these collages over and over again for color inspiration.
Though you might like to have a peek behind the studio curtain and enjoy some of my analog moodboards. More to come in the future.
