A couple of months ago, I was thrilled to be asked to make an LA inspired poster for the first stop on the Spamerican Tour. It was a whirlwind project, but I'm so glad I was able to squeeze it in.
As part of the project, I was on hand at the event to hand out posters and do a little bit of art with the fun folks who stopped by the booth. (and maybe woof down a Spam treat or two.) Oh- and it was at the Grand Prix in Long Beach- that was an added, fun bonus.
And well... wow! People really love their spam, and I gotta tell ya, they loved having their very own LA Spam poster to take home too!
I put together a quick video of the day because Mr. Gooder was there lurking about taking little snippets on his iPhone. He caught some great moments, too good not to share! Lots of little budding artists and people REALLY excited about Spam!
Be sure to check out all the Spamerican tour details here. They may be making a stop in your town. Plus- There are a whole heck of a lotta other cool posters from the other cities that you should definitely check out. (And I mean, who doesn't like free posters and free Spam treats.)
I also have to give a big shout out to Grow Your Own Media, the the peeps that printed my poster. They did a bang up job. The poster is only 3 ink colors. The 4th, green color, was created by overlapping inks. It turned out so much better than I ever could have imagined. These guys are legit!
