We've been in our house for 3 years now, and I've yet to decorate the master bedroom. I know, I know...so unlike me. I haven't been completely remiss, because there are a few ideas kicking around in the back of my noggin. So I thought it was high time to organize these thoughts and come up with a plan of action.
As I started to gather inspiration, I realized I'm going WAY neutral, calm, and practically unadorned- hence my procrastination. Most of the "leftover" things that are in the bedroom now are decidedly NOT this. This is a trap we all fall into- we have leftover things from other houses/apartments, and we try to make them work even when our heart is telling us something different. Best to start from scratch and either find a new room for those leftovers, or get them on Craigslist- stat!!
Lots of white and pale greys on the walls, with linens barely kissed with a hint of color. I've always dreamed of having linen sheets....maybe it's finally time to pull the trigger... Any thoughts on where to find the best ones??
I've pinned this image about 50 times- all because of the wicker Ikea lamp above the bed. Maybe I should take that as a sign that it needs to be mine.
I'm dying for some kind of macrame statement piece in the bedroom. All along I was thinking a hanging on the wall to sub for a headboard, but then I saw Vintage Revivals hanging macrame light bulb DIY and KINDA geeked out just a little bit. (I mean, look at those things! Wah??!!)
Stay tuned for updates as I jump in and start to get my decorating on in the bedroom!
