Oh hello vintage garden party wedding. Aren't you a sweet little thing. With your bridesmaid dresses made all Von Trap style from vintage sheet sets. And your hammered copper vessels- fit for more than just serving cocktails. I could drink you in all day. Especially your glittery Mary Jane heels. (I can only imagine that rose gold shoes would take you someplace even more magical than Oz when you click your heels together 3 times. Like maybe to the place where unicorns live- instead of to where wicked witches, flying monkeys and munchkins live.)
When I first designed my Woodland Blush invitation, I had a different, (maybe more autumnal) type of wedding in mind. But this version makes me want to run away to a secret garden. To savor every last drop of a warm summer evening with close friends. To spend the day listening to lazy cicadas and end it catching flickering fire flies. It makes me want to listen to a 3 piece band with a stand up bass, and swish my dress up over my knees in beat with the music. And maybe, just maybe, have one too many sips of a spiked summer punch and sneak behind an old wide tree to steal a kiss from my sweetheart.
